Every week, we’ll bring you firsthand stories from clients who have experienced Darren Campbell’s FBA Brand Builder (FBABB) program. These unfiltered accounts shed light on the human side of what it means to join a program that promises life-changing results but often delivers something far different.

Darren Campbell carefully curates his company’s image, showcasing handpicked “success stories” to set false expectations for potential clients. But the stories you don’t hear—the ones he doesn’t share—reveal the emotional, financial, and mental toll this program can take. Our aim with this feature is not just to expose the flaws but to empower those affected to share their voices, find solidarity, and help others make informed decisions.

“Hoping FBABB Would Give Us a Future Together” (Story 1)

I’d like to share my personal story so you can understand the mindset I was in when I joined the FBABB program. At that time, I had been diagnosed with an autoimmune disease that severely limits my ability to walk or even move during flares. I was also dealing with titanium plates in both legs, which caused excruciating pain. My medications, including methotrexate (a low-dose chemo drug), left me floored—hair loss, extreme tiredness, and sickness were just some of the side effects.

My husband works away often, so I frequently found myself crawling on the floor, trying to manage on my own. We joined FBABB hoping it would secure a future where he wouldn’t have to work away as much, allowing him to be there for me during severe flares.

Our story began after I saw FBABB ads on Facebook. At the time, there was no negative information online about the program, so I looked at their ‘success’ stories, not knowing these were actually Darren’s employees. Reassured that Darren was local, we reached out.

A sales call with Paul Matthews followed. He asked intrusive questions, which we thought were part of determining if we were the “right fit.” He claimed we’d need only an additional £6,000–£7,000 beyond the £6,500 join-up fee—about £13,500 in total. No mention was made of the substantial hidden fees we’d later encounter. Paul gave us a tight deadline to pay, saying there were only limited spots left (which we later discovered was a high-pressure sales tactic). Despite dipping into our savings, we decided to give it a shot.

By stage four, we’d spent approximately £9,000, including fees for signing up, samples, company setup, and Empire Builder. Alarm bells rang louder with every deleted post in Mighty Networks. Members asking legitimate questions about fees or expressing concerns had their posts removed, followed by private warnings from Ryan Stewart to avoid “negativity.”

Then came the Belfast Telegraph article, Kirsty’s TikTok videos, and this website. I realized it wasn’t just me—it wasn’t just in my head. Joining this community gave me strength, and while I’ve lost far less than others, I stand with those fighting for justice. Together, we will succeed.

Emotional pressure

“We Invested £18,000 and Barely Broke Even” (Story 2)

I came across FBABB on the Go For It Facebook page. Darren wasn’t running ads then, but he had a reputation as someone who had turned his life around. Although some warned me that “a leopard doesn’t change its spots,” I decided to believe in second chances. My partner and I thought we had the skills to succeed and joined, drawn in by the promise of a home-based business we could run together.

We invested £18,000, including the £6,500 signup fee. However, we only made £4,000 back—barely enough to cover basic expenses like inspections, shipping, storage fees, and a second production run. Our organic ranking plummeted when we ran out of stock for six weeks, and the PPC fees killed any hope of profit.

Support from FBABB was nearly nonexistent. Their so-called PPC manager was clueless, spewing nonsense during calls. By the time we cleared our stock eight months later, we were left to fend for ourselves because we weren’t a “success story.”

Red flags were everywhere, starting just before our launch. Posts about unexpected PPC costs were deleted, leaving us in the dark until it was too late. These PPC costs ran into the thousands, draining any potential profit.

Today, we’re relieved to be free of the stress and financial burden. FBABB’s blueprint doesn’t work, and their unprofessionalism made an already difficult situation worse. Thankfully, we’ve found genuine support and community here—something FBABB failed to provide.
