It’s been more than 24 hours since the Belfast Telegraph’s latest article on Darren Campbell’s FBA Brand Builder (FBABB), which uncovered the program’s blatant encouragement of fake Amazon reviews—a direct violation of Amazon’s policies that could bring harsh penalties for its clients.
Despite the gravity of these revelations, Darren Campbell and his team have remained silent, offering no statement to address the allegations. Instead, Campbell took to Facebook, posting a defensive message aimed at deflecting attention from the serious issues plaguing his program.
This lack of meaningful engagement raises pressing questions: Why hasn’t Darren addressed the fake reviews scandal? What about the fraudulent U.S. trademark filings that have left clients in legal limbo? And what of the ongoing complaints about hidden fees, subpar mentorship, and risky financial advice? Let’s unpack what Darren’s silence—and his carefully crafted public responses—reveal about FBABB’s true priorities.
The Art of Deflection
In a lengthy Facebook post, Darren Campbell sidestepped the Belfast Telegraph’s damning allegations, opting instead to focus on defending his character. Here are the key takeaways from his response:
- No Mention of the Fake Reviews Scandal: Despite substantial evidence, including screenshots and client testimonies, Darren made no effort to address the serious accusations of incentivising fake Amazon reviews.
- Silence on Fraudulent Trademark Applications: Even as attorneys like Victoria Walker confirmed their names were falsely used in U.S. trademark filings connected to FBABB, Darren remained quiet. Meanwhile, clients are left in limbo, uncertain about the validity of their trademarks and with no solutions offered by Darren or his team.
- A Focus on Himself: Rather than addressing client concerns, Darren framed the criticism as a personal attack on his success. Statements like, “People love to create their own narrative when someone is experiencing success,” shifted the spotlight to himself, leaving his clients’ urgent issues ignored.
Misguided and Missing the Point
One of the most telling moments in Darren’s post was his claim:
"Take it all away tomorrow. The company, the money, the lifestyle, the brands, everything. You’d still see the same man, respected and loved by the people who truly know me."
While this might sound noble on a personal level, it’s entirely irrelevant to his role as a mentor and business leader. Clients didn’t pay £6,500 to hear about Darren’s personal growth—they invested in a program that promised professional guidance, trustworthy mentorship, and tangible results. Instead, they’ve been met with deflection and a lack of accountability.
Revisiting the Fake Reviews Scandal
The Belfast Telegraph’s recent investigation revealed that FBABB actively encouraged clients to purchase fake reviews as a way to inflate their Amazon product rankings. One particularly infamous example involves a post from Darren’s team offering to reimburse clients in exchange for 5-star reviews. The risks of this practice are significant and far-reaching:
- Amazon Penalties: Paying for fake reviews is a direct violation of Amazon’s policies. Sellers caught engaging in this behaviour risk account suspensions, financial losses, or even permanent bans from the platform.
- Risk for Clients: Genuine reviews are a cornerstone of consumer trust on Amazon. By gaming the system, FBABB not only jeopardises its clients’ businesses but also contributes to the erosion of trust in the entire Amazon marketplace.
Fake Reviews, No Answers: Darren Campbell’s Silence
Despite the Belfast Telegraph’s thorough reporting and mounting evidence, Darren Campbell has yet to address these serious allegations. Rather than providing guidance or taking accountability, Darren appears more focused on defending his personal image than addressing the risks his clients now face.
The Trademark Fraud Scandal Shaking FBA Brand Builder
Earlier this week, it was revealed that individuals affiliated with FBABB submitted U.S. trademark applications using the names of legitimate attorneys—without their consent. Attorney Victoria Walker, whose name appeared on several filings, confirmed she never authorised the use of her identity.
Clients caught up in the fallout from these fraudulent filings are understandably panicked. Without valid trademarks, their Amazon brands face the threat of removal. Worse, the financial and legal burden of rectifying these mistakes could fall entirely on their shoulders—unless Darren Campbell takes responsibility and offers meaningful solutions.
The OnlyFans Scandal: Darren Campbell’s Disrespectful Advice Exposed
Darren Campbell’s offhand suggestion that women in his FBA Brand Builder program should “throw yourselves at OnlyFans” to secure funds reveals a glaring lack of empathy and professionalism. Whether meant as a joke or not, the comment perpetuates harmful stereotypes, trivialises financial struggles, and further alienates women already grappling with the program’s steep financial demands.
Darren Campbell: "Yous girls out there, if yous really needed to get money, you know, throw yourselves at OnlyFans".
It’s yet another example of the reckless, tone-deaf guidance that has come to define Darren’s leadership style.
Adding to the hypocrisy is today's Facebook post, where he professed deep respect for women and praised their contributions to his program. In the post, he wrote, “The FBA Brand Builder is thriving because of the incredible women who are at the heart of it.” Yet, this flattering statement rings hollow when contrasted with his earlier remarks. The gap between Darren’s public praise and his dismissive, inappropriate guidance calls into question the sincerity of his respect for the women in his community.
Darren also used the post to emphasise his commitment to “traditional values,” such as men providing for and protecting women. However, these claims appear performative when viewed alongside the exploitative advice he’s given female clients.
From Hidden Costs to Reckless Advice
The latest revelations are just the tip of the iceberg in a growing pattern of issues within FBABB:
- Hidden Fees: Many clients report being blindsided by unexpected costs, including fees for PPC campaign management and software subscriptions. These additional expenses can total tens of thousands of pounds, far exceeding the initial £6,500 program cost.
- Empire Builder Scandal: Darren’s proprietary software, Empire Builder, was exposed as a rebranded version of Zonbase, a platform available for a fraction of the price. Clients were pressured to pay £99/month or £999/year for this service, even though it’s available directly from Zonbase for just $30/month.
These examples paint a troubling picture of a program that prioritises profit over client success, often at significant personal and financial cost to those who trusted Darren’s mentorship.
In the past 24 hours, over 20 clients have reportedly been booted from FBABB’s internal community. These are people who paid at least £6,500 to join the program, only to be shown the door for daring to ask legitimate questions.
This isn’t a one-off either—it’s a classic FBABB move. Posts questioning the program are deleted faster than you can say “refund,” and anyone who challenges the status quo gets banned. Contracts supposedly promise 12 months of access to the community and materials, but clients are being locked out early for simply raising concerns.
People are being removed completely for posting genuine questions. How can anyone trust a program where you can’t even ask a question? Darren and his team say any messages that are deleted are because they are negative, etc. This is 100% untrue. I, amongst many others, have seen these posts that are now deleted.
They are not negative; these are people simply needing answers regarding costs. After paying 6.5k to these people, are we not entitled to ask questions without fear of being thrown out?"
And here’s a real head scratcher: while the FBABB team is happily based in Ballymena, their contracts define a “business day” as when banks are open in London. Convenient, isn’t it? Yet they’ve all disappeared for a lengthy holiday break, leaving clients high and dry.
The Client Perspective
While Darren remains focused on defending his image, clients are left to deal with the overwhelming fallout. Here are just a few of the unfiltered responses we’ve received:
- “The lack of empathy and awareness that Darren has caused to many families financially and emotionally is really heartbreaking. How can he not see this?”
- “I’m stuck, feeling alone, and quite frankly feel sick constantly that others are going through this too. I just want my money back.”
- “Gaslighting. Pure and simple gaslighting. They kept saying, ‘No hidden costs,’ when it’s one of the many problems everyone is complaining about.”
These accounts paint a devastating picture of a program that has left its clients feeling betrayed, isolated, and financially strained.
Deflection Over Solutions: Darren Campbell’s Consistent Pattern
Darren’s recent Facebook post isn’t the first time he has tried to deflect criticism. In a December email, he called for a “truce,” appealing for leniency while vaguely admitting to “mistakes.” However, this attempt at humility feels hollow when paired with the program’s ongoing failure to address client concerns in any substantive way.
Quotes from Darren’s Email:
- “We’ve made some mistakes along the way. And you know what? We will make more mistakes as we move forward.”
- “We’re not perfect. We’ve had communication issues. We’ve had growing pains.”
These statements, while acknowledging imperfection, completely sidestep the systemic problems plaguing FBABB and offer no meaningful solutions for the clients who have been left to deal with the fallout.
What Needs to Happen Next
If Darren Campbell is serious about making amends and rebuilding trust, he must take immediate, tangible actions:
- Address the Trademark Fraud: Cut ties with “Maria,” hire a qualified U.S. attorney, and resubmit all fraudulent trademark applications—at no cost to the affected clients.
- Acknowledge the Fake Reviews Scandal: Issue a public apology, own up to the violations, and provide clients with clear guidance on how to mitigate the damage.
- Offer Refunds: Quietly and proactively refund clients who feel they were misled or underserved by the program.
- Increase Transparency: Publish a detailed and verified breakdown of all program costs and success rates, validated by an independent third party.
- Stop Silencing Critics: Allow open discussions within the FBABB community and engage genuinely with client concerns, rather than banning dissenting voices.
These steps aren’t optional if Darren wants to salvage his reputation and show he prioritises his clients over his image.
